Another Gold Medal for the Chorus

It was September 2019 when we were last able to take the competition stage. National contests in 2020 and 2021, and the Pan Pacific in 2022 were all casualties of the pandemic. A good part of the intervening 3 years was spent in rehearsals over Zoom, and even in-person rehearsals brought with them the requirement to safe-distance and wear masks when singing.

So Palmy 2022 was a big deal - not only because it was the end of a 3-year drought - but also because it was the first time the contest had included mixed and womens' choruses and quartets. City of Sails took first place in the Men's Chorus contest, repeating our success in 2019.
